exit the queenYour pseudo smile mocks me no more  
 The end of your reign has come   Morning and evening I wake and sleep easier.  No longer a stranger to a roof I paid dearly for    I hear, on waking, sweet aviary birds ( they sing anyway)  Listen to the early truck backing in to get the rubbish skip.  These cheep cheep cheep,  peep peep peep glad sounds.   
 
 
Now I sit and write in my new room  Next to the communal kitchen where people  Move in and out cooking, talking   In the intricate art of disciplined liberty       Finally f exit the queen

a feathered wishI know that it may  be    that my affections could flutter   at your threshold   
 could drop  like  baby birds   falling from their nest  dying before they fly  dead before they sing   
 
       But   
 I will chant the purest prayer each dawn

Mother of The Bride

Very soon my eldest daughter is getting married.
I am very pleased to say I am looking forward to having a pleasant time.
The bridesmaids are all in pounamu green, the bride is in ivory and the little flower girl in ivory too.
It should look spectacular.
I am to give a speech at the wedding and that should be fine.
Most of all I want to see the happiness on my daughter's face.
Her name is Emma rose. She is having four bridesmaids, which is lovely.
TJ her fiancee is half maori and half pakeha, a talented man, musician and artist.
He is as ever quiet and enduring, an internal type of personality.

What I realized is that oil paint is very very forgiving
you say you are just a watcher
I have one thing to tell you

grab a brush, or something that makes a mark and go for it
